I was thinking today (always dangerous, thinking!) that I need somewhere to put my more academicy posts, now that I'm meant to be reading all kinds of academicy stuff. So that's here! Coming soon - some of my early reflections on OT criticism!

What's this neologism academicy? And how do you pronounce the c (soft or hard before a y)?
Academicy (hard c) - adj, of or resembling an academic. For example, academicy writings - writings on academic issues, the kind of writings an academic might produce (cf physicsy)
Academic (adj) - of or resembling an academy. For example, academic writings - writings produced in an academy, writings about work done in the academy.
Academicy is slightly softer than academic.
